blog series:

unconstrained and unconventional

An important part of our mission is to celebrate unconventional outdoor spaces and their creators. We feature gardeners who are unconstrained by the way things “should” be. They are undeterred by the form that a garden “should” take, and also challenge the notion that there is such thing as a conventional gardener. Gardening should be unconstrained and unconventional. It is an exercise in imperfection, in creative innovation, and in having the confidence to try without being assured of the outcome. In today’s world, with the prevalence of AI and the pressure to be perfect, gardening has never been more important. We hope these stories inspire you. No matter how big your space, or how experienced your spade, you can always go Digging Potatoes.
